THE BASE
The base foundation will be excavated by hand or small machine 450mm (18") wide and to a maximum depth of 1000mm (39"). The trench will then be almost filled with solid concrete to provide a substantial foundation.
The dwarf wall will be raised off the concrete foundation comprising an outer skin of faced brickwork, 75/100mm wide cavity, and an inner 100mm plastered block work skin .
Variations including reclaimed bricks , render or ragstone are also available .
The floor area will be formed from hard-core blinded with sand and topped with approximately 100mm (4") of solid concrete followed by a screed finish suitable for most types of floor finish, including ceramic tiles, quarry tiles, carpet, etc.
Structurally our bases are always built to Building Regulation standards which would be equally suitable for a full extension as we believe a sound base ensures no future movement in the upper structure .
We are continually improving the design and performance of our products . We therefore reserve the right to vary specifications without notice .
