Bespoke Conservatories
At the Kent conservatory company we believe in traditional styles and techniques and by combining the skills of our craftsmen with the modern materials which are now available produce a range of quality products which will enhance any property and prove a worthwhile investment.
A full in house design service can prepare either traditional or unusual schemes and obtain all relevant local authority approvals including those for listed buildings.
Our extensive range of styles ensures that customers needs can easily be adapted to thus providing a finished article which reflects the customers requirements in an individual way at an economical price
Orangeries and Orangery
Orangeries represent the ideal combination of the benefits and looks of conservatories and more conventional extensions. The large proportion of glazing ensures excellent views of their surroundings whilst retaining the solid feeling of a conventional extension.
With the roof comprising part flat lead (or polymer) and part glass the internal ceiling becomes an interesting combination of plaster and glazing which can be enhanced by the fitting of down lighters etc.
Externally the overall height is less than that of a conventional tiled roof thus avoiding obscured views from upper rooms
In applications where “joining “ to the existing house is difficult due to upper windows, difficult features or just plain drainage pipes the orangery is ideal particularly in comparison to a pitched/tiled roof. On sensitive listed properties Conservation Officers tend to prefer the box gutter/flat roof connection to a property as it harms less of the fabric of the building being extended.
swimming pools and swimming pool enclosures
The Kent Conservatory Company has considerable experience in designing and building pool enclosures whether for existing polls or new ones. All our architect designed swimming pool enclosures are built to precise specifications in a wide range of finishes and styles.
The frames are generally manufactured from hardwood but the roofs can be either hardwood or powder coated aluminium to give a long lasting durable finish
Designed and built by us under strict supervision you can be sure that all work meets the high safety and structural standards required for such a project.
In undertaking the complete project for you we will take care of structural calculations and any local authority permissions that may be required.
